SC Launches Etch
Etch, a tamper-evident digital records platform for sealed, shareable proof of condition, joins the firm proprietary product portfolio.
The announcement in detail.
The launch
SC has launched Etch, a tamper-evident digital records platform that lets users seal, share, and prove the condition of anything: a memory, a timestamped event, a piece of evidence, a contract state. Etch joins the firm proprietary product portfolio alongside SoravaCue, Sway, Prelp, WhoSabiAm, and LinguaNomad. Each product operates as its own business unit with a General Manager who owns P&L.
The problem
Proving that something existed in a given state at a given time is harder than it should be. Screenshots can be edited. Documents can be backdated. Witnesses disagree. Etch solves this by sealing a record at the moment of creation: hashing the content, timestamping the seal, and making the record shareable in a form that reveals any later tampering. The record is the proof.
The product thesis
Etch is a product built from services. SC saw the same proof-of-condition problem repeatedly across client engagements: logistics disputes, insurance claims, legal evidence, audit trails. Each client needed a custom solution. Etch generalizes that solution into a standalone product that anyone can use. It runs independently of the consulting business, with its own team and its own roadmap.
Availability
Etch is live at etch.stalwartcrest.com. The product is operated by its own business unit within Stalwart Crest. The standard does not move with conditions.
